Dr. Dhiman Basu

Rheumatologist

Dhiman Basu is a Board-Certified Rheumatologist with American Arthritis and Rheumatology Associates (AARA) where he was a Board Member and Past President contributing to the organization's strategic direction and advocating for patient care excellence. Dr. Basu is a Teaching Faculty at the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Texas Health Resources affiliated with Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, TX and at the Internal Medicine Residency Program in Texas Health Resources affiliated with University of Texas Southwestern Health Science Center in Dallas. He is also the Director of Heritage Rheumatology and Arthritis Care in Dallas, Texas and principal investigator with Precision Comprehensive Clinical Research Solutions, LLC. He is a fellow member of the American College of Rheumatology, State of Texas association of Rheumatologist and Association of Women in Rheumatology. He is currently serving as Board member in Lupus Foundation of America and Arthritis Foundation. Dr. Basu completed his postgraduate medical training at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Texas and his rheumatology fellowship at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan. As a fellow of the American College of Rheumatology, Dr. Basu has completed and currently involved in over 50 clinical trials as principal investigator involving Systemic lupus erythematosus, Sjogren's syndrome, Rheumatoid arthritis, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Gout and ANCA associated vasculitis. Dr. Basu has given numerous lectures on SLE, RA, Psoriatic arthritis, Ankylosing spondylitis, Gouty arthritis, Giant cell arteritis and ANCA vasculitis at various Regional, National and International Meetings and Congresses. Dr. Basu's contributions extend to his publication record and involvement in medical societies and advisory roles. He has received recognition for his work including Top Rheumatologist Award in 2019, 2020 and 2024, Top Doctor Award in 2019-2020 and has been Inducted as a Pinnacle Professional member into the Continental Who's Who since 2019. Through his various roles, Dr. Basu continues to impact Rheumatology by improving patient outcomes and advancing medical knowledge. Dr. Basu is a Philatelist and a Numismatist. He enjoys photography, skiing, traveling, and spending time with his wife and two daughters.
